Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
This policy explains what personal information Genesis Bakery collects when you contact us through this website, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Genesis Bakery confirm legal entity, 31 Aughrim Road, Magherafelt, Co. Derry, BT45 6BB. For any questions about this policy or your data, contact sales@genesisbakery.co.uk.
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us through our trade enquiry form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company (optional)
- Your phone number (optional)
- The enquiry type and the message/brief you send us
How we use it
We use these details solely to respond to and manage your trade enquiry — for example, to discuss your brief, arrange samples, and follow up on a potential supply relationship. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Our lawful basis
We process your information on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry that you have initiated with us.
Who processes it
Your enquiry is delivered to our trade team by email through our email delivery provider, Resend, and this website is hosted by Railway. These providers process the data only to deliver the service to us. We do not share your information with any other third parties.
Cookies & tracking
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no analytics or third-party trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry only for as long as needed to deal with it and any resulting business relationship, after which it is deleted.
Job applications through our careers page
If you use the quick-apply form on our careers page we collect your name, a phone number, an email address if you choose to give one, the roles you are interested in, how you would like us to get back to you and, for a call, the best time, anything you choose to tell us in the message box, a CV if you choose to attach one, and how you heard about us, and, if a friend or colleague told you, their name so we can thank them. If you give an email address we send you one confirmation with what happens next, and may use it to reach you if we cannot get you by phone. We also record the page you arrived on and, where a link carried them, campaign tags that tell us which advert, poster or post brought you here. We do not collect a CV or any other personal details at this stage.
To see whether our recruitment is working we also count, without identifying anyone, how many people view the careers page, start the form, share it and send it, and which channel each visit came from. These counts hold no name, number, IP address or device details, and set no cookie.
We use these details to phone you about the role and, if you wish to go ahead, to complete our standard application with you. Every candidate, however they first contact us, goes through the same application and monitoring process. Genesis Bakery is an Equal Opportunities Employer. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in recruiting for open roles, and your request that we contact you.
Applications are delivered to our HR team by email through Resend and stored on our own web server, hosted by Railway in the EU. They are deleted automatically 90 days after the role you applied for closes. To have yours removed sooner, email hr@genesisbakery.co.uk.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these, email sales@genesisbakery.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
